After the first day of the North Sea Jazz Festival on the 11th of July there was a great after party-night session during 'Boogieball’ at club Bird Rotterdam. The great band Snarky Puppy was leading the sessions this night. A lot of musicians joined in on the sessions among which, famous trompet player Roy Hargrove, but also a few fantastic drummers like Kendrick Scott and also bass player Thundercat! Several talented local players and vocalists also joined in. Bird is a great location for this kind of intimate jazz concert or session and the house was packed! Live music went on till the very small hours and in the club room dj’s were spinning disks! I include a few pictures I made during the session with Snarky Puppy and guests. Back to blog…
